New Hersheys Candies
May 31st, 2007 by stevebNot really, but Hersheys is suing the California maker of these spoof cannabis candies, 40 year old Kenneth Affolter from Lafayette. That’s right, they’re suing for TRADEMARK INFRINGEMENT. Professor Feldman of UCSF law school has this to say: “Does the customer really believe Hershey is making marijuana-laced candy? I don’t think so. But now you’re associating illegal drugs with the Hershey mark. You’re thinking about bad things, illegal things, things that will harm your body when you think of the Hershey mark, and that is terribly damaging to the company and its mark.”

One of the guys involved in this case, Sparky Rose, tried out as the drummer for my band about a year ago. The day he tried out was the same day the guy mentioned in the news article, Kenneth Affolter, got arrested and Sparky was a little out of it during his audition because of this. I guess Sparky ran the “clubs” that distributed most of this stuff. Crazy world. Some one ought to sell tickets because I would sure buy one.

I think this guy needs to be free… There is no reason that he should be in jail or prisonor anything like that. Putting aninnocent person in jail will only increase the likelyhood of them actually becoming a real “criminal.” I am moving t canada as soon as I can afford it, fuck this bullshit….
Peace and love, free the plant!!!!!
