And now a more philosophical thought:
The law is all about semantics. If you call that a ‘house’ then those people look terrible. But change ‘house’ to ‘barn’ and it’s really not all that bad.
I’m not saying I’d want to do it, but maybe living like/with animals seems normal to those people…but society tells them that’s wrong. Aren’t we just supposed to be ourselves? Or what level of social conditioning is OK?
This may be an extreme scenario to some, but somewhere we have to draw the line– where?

Or . . . what if we call it a “dump” instead of a “house” – then actually their “dump” is rather clean.
