•Phosphoric Acid (despite the name) is not capable of emitting light, no matter what you mix with it. It doesn&#039;t work that way - do your homework.

•I never said they edited the video - they simply switched bottles during a close-up of the baking soda (or &quot;backing soda&quot;).

•There is no way you got Mountain Dew to glow by following the instructions they offer in the video. It is a hoax.</description>

the Mountain Dew has phosphoric acid in it and when you add a tiny amount of backing soda the acid is activated but it wont glow yet because it still isn&#039;t oxidized however adding the peroxide to the mix causes the reaction to take place

and another thing i checked this video frame by frame  and Thayer is no editing in it other than the words and music have been added</description>
