Crime Reports

February 22nd, 2008 by timbotron

Perhaps a few steps up from the level of RottenNeighbor.com, CrimeReports.com combines Google Maps with local law enforcement reports (still not available in some areas).

[Update from Heywood]:

If you, like me, tried this out and it isn’t yet available for your neighborhood, invite your police chief. Just a few clicks.

Looks like a promising website for us living in TJ. Has the TJ chief volunteered his crime information or hasn’t Hell frozen over yet?

    Fred,

Thanks for the support from the real Tijuana. We’re doing our best to represent your city on the Internet– the spirit of it, at least! Spread the word down there!

I should add that I actually lived in Tijuana for a month a few years ago, and I’m not talking the touristy part of the city. It actually quite an experience living among Tijuanans, and not a bad one. The people were extremely friendly despite being rather impoverished, and I think they were just as surprised as we were to find that the other was not only tolerable, but quite friendly!
