The trio of Andy Samberg, Jorma Taccone, and Akiva Schaffer – also known as The Lonely Island and of Saturday Night Live comedy fame – will be releasing their album “Incredibad” this February 10th, available through iTunes.

Ramping fans up for their upcoming album, they posted an early video release of “We Like Sportz” on YouTube last December.

Afro Samurai: Resurrection

resurrection

Last week, Spike TV premiered “Afro Samurai: Resurrection,” the long-awaited sequel to the 2007 animated hit, “Afro Samurai.”

In a few words: it was (once again) brilliant!

For those of you who’ve missed out on the first round:
In a feudal yet futuristic Japan, there is a “Number One” headband – the possessor of which lives as a warrior demigod. The only person who can challenge the Number One is the person with the Number Two headband . . . and anyone can challenge the Number Two. Samuel L. Jackson is the voice of Afro Samurai, a warrior bent on making his way to the Number One to avenge his father’s death. In the sequel (look out, giving a few things away), Afro Samurai has to regain his title by facing the vengeance of several defeated allies . . . including his resurrected father.

The Music Score:
