Thou Shalt Not Pass!
June 13th, 2009 by B RoundRaleigh, N.C. — Police arrested Joseph Carnevale, a N.C. State student, last week for his involvement in the creation of what some consider to be the world’s greatest cone monster. Though we assume many a passerby were shocked, Blogadilla appreciates Mr. Carnevale taking one for the team.
Update from Heywood: According to WRAL.com, this is Joseph Carnevale. He looks pissed.:
Update #2 from Heywood: Here’s an interview with Joseph Carnevale — apparently the company whose construction barrels were stolen doesn’t want to press charges, but they do want Carnevale to recreate the monster at their company headquarters, potentially even for money!
Carnevale hasn’t decided whether or not he’ll build the monster, but either way, the police say they’re still pressing larceny charges against Carnevale. BOO!!

As a fellow NC State student I am extremely proud of Mr. Carnevale… I just wish I could have seen it for myself!

He stole, he returned…. He created art, he brought greater attention to the hazards of the road, he is being rewarded by the highway contractor….. only thing better? dismiss charges?… pay for destruction of property/damages? The city and other cities all around the nation might do well to emulate that sculpture!!!!
